FAQs

What’s included in the Weekly Lawn Mowing Plan?

The Weekly Plan is the best way to keep your lawn clean and neat all summer long. It runs from May to September and includes a lawn maintenance visit every 7 days. When you sign up for the full season, you will receive a weekly visit for each of the 22 weeks between May 1 and Sep 30.

Mowing – We use a professional lawn mower to perform grass cutting on all the turf areas to a standard cutting height of 2.5 to 3 inches
Trimming – We use a string trimmer to perform trimming along all the obstacles such as trees, gardens, fences, driveways, sidewalks, etc.
Edging – We use a blade edger to power edge along all the straight sidewalks and driveways once a month. This will maintain a sharp and crisp edge between your lawn and the driveway or the sidewalks
Mulched Clippings – Clippings are mulched for the best lawn health. Clippings are cut into fine pieces that fall easily onto the soil surface and are rapidly broken down by soil microorganisms, which release nutrients back into the soil. All the loose clippings are blown off driveways and walkways to the lawn. If you request bagging for every visit, additional charges will apply. Unfortunately, the disposal of the waste bags is not included in our services.

What’s included in a Fall Clean Up?

We offer two Fall Clean Up packages – Standard Fall Clean Up or Fall Clean Up with Aeration. Great savings are available if you sign up for a full-season Lawn Care plan that includes Fall Clean Up, full-season Lawn Mowing and more. Each Fall Clean Up package includes:

Final Mowing & Trimming – The last mow of the season is crucial. Professional grass cutting of all turf surfaces to a standard cutting height of 2.5″ – 3″ and grass trimming along all of the edges of the turf surfaces.
Leaf Raking – We will rake your entire lawn removing leaves and debris prior to winter’s snow blanket.
Rockbed Blowout – Loose leaves and clippings will be blown off rock gardens or tree surrounds.
Clippings & Debris Bagging – Bagged clippings will be left near your property’s waste pickup site for removal by your municipality.
Power Edging – Power edging is the mechanical removal of overgrown grass on concrete areas by a metal blade. It uniforms grass lines and gives your lawn a professional and clean look around sidewalks and driveways.

In addition to the above services, you can also add:

Core Aeration – Aerate your lawn so that it receives more of the sunlight, nutrients, and water it needs to grow thick and healthy. Aeration is completed using a plug aerator. Plugs will be left on the turf surface to decompose.

What’s included in the Weed Control & Fertilization plan?

The Weed Control & Fertilization Plan includes unlimited weed control herbicide application and full-season fertilization in your turf area from Spring to Fall. There will be a minimum of five visits, and courtesy revisits are included free of charge if there are weeds that persist after applications!

Herbicide application will start in May and occur once every 4 to 6 weeks. Most common broadleaf weeds such as dandelion, thistle, and clover will die within one week, however, some pesky weeds may need a second application for it to take full effect. With our unlimited weed control, rest assured we will make sure you have a weed-free lawn the entire summer!
Granular fertilization application will be applied in the same visit, build stronger grassroots and blades, and strengthen the lawn against weed growth. During the fall, an application of winterizing fertilization is also applied, ensuring your lawn stays healthy through the winter and ready for a strong growth season in the following spring.

What Snow Removal Plans are available?

Yardly’s Snow Removal Plan is the easiest and most reliable way to have a snow-free property all winter long. A dedicated Yardly Pro will be assigned for each property to ensure the continuous care of the property for a flat monthly rate with no surprises. All our Snow Removal Plans run from October to April of the following year. Our Elite Plan includes:

Unlimited service for every snowfall over a trace accumulation
Guaranteed service within 24 hours of snowfall ending*
Unlimited eco and pet friendly ice melt application after each snow removal visit and after each freezing rain
Repeat service visits during continuous snow storms
Rock salt application after each snow removal visit

* Timing guarantees may be extended under extreme storm conditions with snowfall over 10cm, on Christmas and New Year’s Day.

How does Yardly quote my yard?

The price of each service is based on extensive market research of local market pricing. Don’t worry about having to set up an appointment for a contractor to come to your property to give you a quote, we offer quotes within seconds using satellite imaging to determine the size and configuration of the Yard.

What is the fuel surcharge?

As you’re aware, fuel prices have risen dramatically since Spring 2022. Fuel makes up a significant portion of what it costs to provide you with our convenient, high-quality yard care service. We’ve done everything in our power to shield our customers from the rising fuel cost. Unfortunately, we’ve reached a position where we must implement a temporary fuel surcharge for all service visits. This fuel surcharge will appear as a separate item on your invoice, as we hope to be able to remove the surcharge in the future.

How does payment work?

All payment is processed conveniently and securely via credit cards and you can choose to pay monthly or prepay at the beginning of the season for additional savings. For monthly payment, you will be charged on the first of each month for the entire month of service. If you wish to start service immediately midway through a month, that month’s billing will not be prorated.
